Quick help, i cant seem to select that talent, i am lvl 8 are there other hidden requirements ? ( i cant even see it in selection screen
Sorry, I'm not that far and can't help, just wanted to comment.

First, it's nice to know new talents open up as the initial ones - well, there aren't many, and while some are great (I personally think "executioner" is a must for all characters, worth putting 1 point in warfare to get it even for non-strength based characters), many are not so great.

I know on Nexus there is a "One Man Army" mod which looks awesome and I'll likely try it on my next play with, imo, the best origin character.

If requirements aren't showing up, I imagine, for sure, Lone Wolf is one of them. There is likely a level requirement (if you are 8, maybe 10?) .

Sorry I can't help, just some thoughts.

In the release it is called Lone Wolf.
ok but wasnt 1 man army a seperate talent, from lone wolf ?? coz it was to be available at lvl 8 ? or so some places seems to claim.? as one man army was a talent to add more vitality :)?

No, it was renamed and the requirement set to 8 so it was unavailable for the alpha. Once the game was balanced for a 4 character party, the talent was looked at in detail, reworked and renamed back to Lone Wolf.
Ahh ok thank you, well ill try a 2 man party at some point then i guess :), though i must say it seems really hard with only 2 guys to soak dmg :), and requires rather more effecient builds than the ones im running :), i should really spread my skills a lot more than what i am doing :), being so easily countered with my mages :)

Yeah, a 2 man party would be difficult - I would build them to be more physical damage dealers than magic, but with magic for enemies that have little or no magic armor and high physical armor. And obviously to know that one would need a point or 2 in Lore so you could examine every enemy at the very start of battle to identify which way to attack them (physical damage or magic).

Plus, Lone Wolf has been changed a bit - I haven't used it yet (never on a 1st play for me), but it seems instead of giving you extra points like it did before, I *think* it doubles your spent attribute points (so if you put 3 in strength, instead of STR 13 it would be 16) and *maybe* ability points too? not sure on that one.

Also, it doesn't prevent you from having more than 2 members, but if you do then you lose that doubling bonus temporarily until you are back to only a 2 man party (If I read it right). So, if you run into a tough fight you cannot beat with 2, you could always run get 2 other NPC's and fight with 4, just losing the bonus and basically having a normal team as if you never took the talent, then afterwards dismiss them to get the bonuses back. I'm assuming a lot though - not off the island yet, I have no idea if you can get the NPC's after leaving or not.

Tactician mode would make a 2-character group devilishly difficult. I'd suggest heavy investment in Summoning(let summons soak damage, and spam turrets) and Necromancy(Bone Widow+heal when dealing damage) for both characters, with one point each in Geo(Fort), Hydro(Frost armor&heal), Aero(Teleport&Blind), Warfare(mobility+knockdowns), and Hunt(mobility+First aid), and a heavy devotion to Memory so you can afford to stack a bunch of skills. Plus go sword+board for each for Shields Up which will save you many, many times. A properly-infused Incarnate Champion is very nice; a Bone Widow is just devastating with 12-14 effective Summoning. A little later on, if you pick up some Pyro for Fire Slug you'd get good use out of it.

You should go ahead and run with a 4-character group once you're on the ship unless you intend to use custom characters. You can drop down to two later on, but there's a thing that happens that you couldn't know about unless you either went through it or someone told you, and it will make getting some of the plot characters harder to get. So if you intend to have one or two hanging around for occasional use, keep them in your group until the thing happens. You'll know it when you see it.
I wouldn't have 2 sword n boards, but that's just me ... I'd have one and the other an archer or rogue. Right now, my archer is easily my biggest damage dealer, and with teleport I can send enemies who get too close as far away on lower ground as possible - it takes a lot of ap to get back. And rogues are great in battle, and very helpful with their thievery skill also once you get it up - a dwarf rogue seems the best, as their racial talent gives them a free point in sneak.

Plus, with crafting arrows, an archer can decide whether to do physical or magic damage without even investing in magic schools. Then again, so can a fighter or rogue with crafted grenades ... but to be reliable you have to use up a talent point.

I agree with both Summon and especially Necro, but I would throw Polymorph in there as well.

EDIT: In regards to Polymorph - great for a rogue ... "cut tendons" or whatever that skill is called, followed by turning them into a chicken without the ability to run = win.

Yes, it doubles all spent points in attributes and abilities except polymorph and civils.
Polymorph effectively gives you one attribute point, that is then doubled, as long as you only have one additional member or go solo.

Yes, you are right.

At least as long as you are on the island you can get them in and out of your party as often as you wish.
Did this to get rid of all those body parts, as i am playing Red prince & Fane.

EDIT: clicked post before even replying lol. its early.

About those body parts, hmmm ..... at least one I recall gives you an ability - might have been better to identify that then reload and save it for Fane when you are able to craft his Elf mask.

Dumbo question...but to craft masks you need ceratin parts that take forever to get. Whereas you can simply retrieve his original mask before leaving the island and it's fully crafted... Why bother creating new ones?
