So I have the multi issue where my co-op partner was disconnected suddenly and could not get back in. Now, every time I start GOG Galaxy I get an update failed notification and there is a RETRY button in my Divinity Original Sin 2, the client seeeminlgy tries to update, but fails.

What gives?

When my co-op partner tries to connect to me (Im the host) she gets an error that my version is different. She appears to have the .999 version while I have the .822.

Both players need to be on the same version to play together. In the lobby you'll see multiplayer games greyed out that are not of the same version as your own. So one has to go a patch back or the one a patch ahead.
Thank you, I solved the issue by simply restarting my PC., which did not occur to me at the time. I feel stupid now :/
