I expect Linux/Mac version to happen when the Enhanced Edition of Original Sin 2 comes out.
Currently the focus is on the game itself. Other platforms may be announced later in development, or after the Windows release.

+1 Linux. I'll purchase when/if Linux support is announced. First game was AMAZING.

Best of luck on the development!

Yeah, I will wait too, but I can fully understand your decision, better focus to make a great game (and let's just hope you will not add too much platform specific problems :) ). Good luck.

Me too if no Linux support I will never could play to this game.

I see DirectX11 only on the description, seriously in 2016 there is still games without openGL or Vulcan support ?

Anyway, the game looks amazing, congratulations and good luck for the next.

Yes, quite a few, and some people still with DirectX 10 graphics cards, even.
The game engine does have OpenGL support, but it would presumably need some updates were there to be OSX and Linux versions of D:OS 2. DirectX is used in Windows, the same as with D:OS EE.

Programmers have looked into Vulcan (and DirectX 12, which is quite similar) in terms of adding support to the Divinity engine.

Vulcan support would be awesome for future releases of D:OS.

+1 I agree. I currently play on Windows but I'm eager to switch to Linux as soon as possible.

Thank you for the information. In that case I may buy the game later when Linux is announced. Good luck with the game. The previous one was awesome...
I'd also be very interested in buying the game once Linux support is announced.

Good luck with the development!
D:OS 2 comes out in a month, so I expect Larian to announce any kind of Linux/Mac version with the inevitable Larian Enhanced Edition re-release.
I will also buy the game once it got Linux support and I will very likely pay the full price when it runs with Vulkan. Thanks for supporting Linux with the first part btw.

Edit: When you implement half precision support for AMD Vega you can be completely sure that I will pay your release price!

I'm currently switching completely to Linux. As dealing with emulators (Wine) is always a pain, I won't buy any games w/o native Linux support any more.

D:OS 2 is a sure buy for me once it is available on Linux - 1st one was fantastic.
I hope that no one who is waiting for a Linux version buy when it is announced and only when it is released. Last time it took a long time after announcement, and the version being release for several places that were announced a year after Linux was announced, before the Linux version was released.
I was one of the people who kickstarter backed Div: OS 2, and selected "Linux" as my preferred platform.
Since Div: OS 2 is running a updated version of Div: OS 1 game engine, I feel confident that Larian will eventually release a Linux port, after releasing the real money-making console versions of course.

Larian actually released a Linux version of Div: OS 1 like they promised, unlike other game developers
cough Stainless cough so there is that.
