Hi everyone, this is my first time creating a topic so I apologize for any mistakes.

I've really been enjoying Divinty OS 2 so far and would like to try my hand at streaming it. The only problem is, it's not working. I'm not super tech-savvy so I might just have missed something very obvious.

I'm using OBS and have tried using display capture, game capture etc but I'm only met with a black screen. In game capture I've been able to boot up the game but OBS freezes(?) on the title screen and you can't see any of the actual gameplay. The audio still works however, it's just the gameplay that's missing. None of the other capture devices available in OBS work, just a black screen.

I'd really appreciate some help since I'm also planning to stream Cuphead with a friend soon :)

In game graphics settings set display mode to Fake Fullscreen.
In OBS select Window Capture as sourse and choose EoCApp.exe in properties.

For all those having trouble trying to capture Divinity Original Sin 2 by either Display Capture or Game Capture in OBS and getting a black screen. (Using AMD Radeon Rx580...but might work for every card)
Everyone was saying change Display Mode in Divinity 2 to Fake Fullscreen. However this didnt work for me
Obs would work fine until i started the game in normal mode or admin mode...then would go black
I could switch to 2nd monitor and it would record. but once i switched back to game screen it would be black.

Note: If have OBS open first before this setup it will go black and you will have to restart OBS. Shutdown OBS first. Then follow instructions.

Solution I had to do.
1. Open Divinity 2 first.
2. Change to Window Mode
3. Open OBS (only worked in display capture - but could work for game capture as well...worth a test)
4. Game should now display in obs.
5. Can now change display mode in game to fullscreen/fake fullscreen and it will stay up in obs.

I originally had a 980ti and i didnt have a problem with capturing Divinity 2 (although i did still have to use Display Capture...not game capture)
It wasnt until I changed to Asus Radeon Rx580 8gb that I had this problem.

Hope this helped coz I couldnt find a solution anywhere that helped me.
