I've got slightly technical questions about this game (Divinity Original Sin 2):

1) Does it support completely offline play? As in, wifi went down or powers out, can we still play this on our laptops?

2) Does this game use a launcher, or are we free to boot a .exe file and never have to worry about something popping up to run the game for us? We (my husband and I) absolutely hate having to use Steam or Origin or Uplay for games and have quit using such.

3) Multiplayer Lan? Direct IP connect? What does DoS2 use?

Help would be greatly appreciated!

1)Yes it does, i play most the time offline and the first time you play the game ask you if you allow a onlineconnection to send reports to Larian, the only "downside" is a failure notice you get every time you start the game "no connection possible etc..." but otherwise you can start/play the game without being online.

2)No Launcher needed

3)You can open start several "games" at once on your PC, connect them and play splitscreen couchcoop in theory but it only works with controllers because only one can use the mouse/keybord. You can play via LAN and you should be able to play online with on player setting up a host and the others searching him but i did not try this.
