Hello all

My pc is
Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz (11-11-11-28)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (ZOTAC International)
Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit
MoBo Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z77X-UP5 TH-CF (Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz)
Direct X 11

According to game-debate.com I would have problems playing Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider
on my rig, although Dishonored would be ok.

Has anyone any experience of running these two games on a similar or comparable setup
to mine ? If so, did they run satisfactorily ?

TIA
DIshonored will run fine on your system, it'll run on just about anything these days.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing the GTX 960 running Dishonored 2 @1080p with beween 30-50fps performance. The problem with DIshonored 2 is one particular level that uses a sort of "time spyglass" to see two different realities at the same time. The level is called the Aramis Stilton Manor level, and it's later in the game, that's probably why you won't see many videos test it. Basically, two scenes have to be rendered at once instead of one, halving frame-rate. Any time you have that timepiece out, your average frame-rate will be halved. 50fps will drop to 25fps. If you're in an graphically intense scene with some serious draw-distance, and your average is closer to 30fps, that will halve to about 15fps.
You can see some of that in action here: https://youtu.be/gBm-bUbkmi0?t=673
11:13 and 19:30 will give you some idea of what I'm talking about.

You can't skip the manor level, and you can't ignore the time-piece, it's crucial for navigating the level.

Death of the Outsider does NOT have anything like the Manor level, so it will probably run fine on your system. But Dishonored 2... yeah. Can't recommend it for your system. It's a good game and the rest of it will probably work fine, but the Manor level at 15fps would be unplayable for me.
I played DH1 and DH2 it on a GTX 950 and i5-2500 and it ran damn fine ( way above 30fps) at 720p.

And how did your system perform in the Stilton manor?

That's quite a long time ago, since i played it but it was nothing like 15 FPS. It was totally playable.

I doubt that. See the video I linked at the timestamps I specified.

EDIT I missed that you said 720p. That's possible. Will still have massive fps drop in the Stilton Manor level.

DH 1 definitely, DH2 most probably at really low setting.

Where there is a will there is a way. :)
Thanks.
Thanks for the advice. Have bought 1 and death of the outsider
