Are the devs on the forums here at all? Part of me wants to start buying these new games directly on GOG, but I worry that GOG releases don't get as much attention from the devs as the Steam releases do. I want to be assured that any game I buy here is going to be kept up to date. I got lucky with Production Line. That dev is amazing. What is everyone else's experience?

Good question.

I would also like to know if the devs are active here on GOG.
Good question indeed.
I want to buy it here too.
They visit forums other than steam (RPG-specific ones) quite often from what I can gather - more often than Steam possibly? That was before release though.

Remains to be seen if they bother checking these lowly forums - one would hope so. But at long as we get fixes not too long after Steam I won't complain. Apparently the version on here has been updated since it went live (version numbers are freaky with this game for some reason though).

Been playing for a few hours and haven't encountered even a single bug yet though, which is pretty amazing these days for anyone, let alone indie developers - so there's that.

How can you tell the version number of a game you're running? How do you tell when the last time a game was updated when you're on the store, before you buy it?

Generally there are release notes and the like put out on GOG and Steam, often indicating version numbers and change logs. Often officially, sometimes also unofficially (e.g. by players and the like). Check the forums for the game you're looking for, they usually have the info.

In the case of this game, I'm just going by what others have said. I grabbed this as soon as it was released and didn't notice any updates to my game as of yet, so AFAIK there hasn't been an update for it yet so I'm guessing there was possibly a botch-up with the game which was noticed before release (unless it happened within the first hour of it being unlocked).
