I've had it with Final Cut. The creative changes and worst of all the countless game breaking bugs make this, one of the top greatest games I've ever played, essentially unplayable. GOG won't provide the old installer, and ZA/UM totally ignored my requests.

Did anyone happen to save the installer for the old version and wouldn't mind providing it ? I bought the game, you can check my profile under the Games tab to see I have 47 or so hours logged on it, so this certainly isn't piracy or warez or whatever.

Any help would be appreciated, I've really been wanting to replay this game for some time and I waited for Final Cut, which turned out to be a horrible mistake.

You having a copy of the last version before the "Final Cut" would certainly not be piracy, and I see nothing morally wrong with someone giving you the files, but asking for them here and expecting someone to facilitate them while communicating through the GOG site is certainly not without problems.

Incidentally, the same way it is with DRMed games that require connecting to a server that no longer exists or when a particular DRM scheme creates more troubles for the legitimate users than for the pirates, the best bet for someone who bought the game and can no longer play it the way they want is to use the same means of obtaining it as the pirates. What you are looking for is version 8487d973 and I can assure you it is not hard to find, and with the original GOG files and all.
