I've seen a lot of people on the fence about whether or not to buy Disciples III (I know I was). So, I thought I'd post here and mention that Steam's mid-week madness sale includes Disciples III at 75% off, since GoG doesn't carry it (yet). If you were waiting for a sale before trying this game, now's a good time.

$5.95 in direct2drive :D and there was a point i wanted to buy it for like 40usd.. lol

I didn't like it. It felt like the devs gave up a lot of the charm of the original two games in favor of working with a pretty engine and overly simplified play. I mean, they took out the Clans and Undead. Granted, I was never a HUGE Clans fan, but the Undead was one of my most favorite races to play with. :(

Battles are pretty, but they ramped up the HP for even basic types and it feels like there's a lot missing in this game. I DID buy it from Steam, but tbh, I think II surpasses III in a lot of ways. This kinda felt like a step backwards, pretty visuals aside.
