I played the game on an EEE 900A under Xubuntu 8.10, Wine 1.0.1 and also Wine 1.1.16.
The game works very well, except that there are some sound issues (probably Pulseaudio's "fault").
I completed about 50% of all campaigns, so I am quite sure that there are no nasty surprises lurking beneath the surface ;)

Thanks for the info. Just ordered it, then, as I'm yet another linux-only user.
I deactivated pulseaudio, for the time being, as it seems to increase lag.

On my setup, sound is correct in OSS mode, and not in ALSA mode (sounds "downsampled").
But it may be due to my switching to the unstable ubuntu beta :)
Other than that, works pretty well out of the box !
