Hello there:

I'm playing Dino Crisis 2, and always got a crash in the Medical Room with Dylan, after escaping the T-Rex. When opening the room, got an immediate CTD, with this trace

Error Type: Unsupported Audio Format
File: D:\Program Files\Dino Crisis 2 SN\dx9\sound\snd_stream.cpp
Line 115

I find it strange, because I don't have it installed there, but in D:\Gog Games. It happens every time, when running as admin, and when it isn't.

Cheers

EDIT: Had to copy some files from an Sourcenext ISO, and now it works.

That's because the patch expects proper original files, but GOG changed them. From a game preservation point of view, I think they should provide the original files as well for cases like this, because admittedly what they changed to normalize the volume sounds worse due to recompression and pretty much defeats the purpose of *actual* preservation.

All these games with the "GOG Preservation Program" badge which aren't properly preserved....it's almost like it's just a marketing gimmick and they either don't have the manpower or desire to properly test these things.
