Dino Crisis 2 worked for me out of the box on Heroic but Dino Crisis 1 just wont work. I keep on getting a DirectDraw error and I tried many things but no luck

Go to settings in Heroic and enter this in environment variables:
Variable Name = WINEDLLOVERRIDES
Value= ddraw=n,b

"Heroic" is a Free Affiliated App compatible on SteamDeck to functionally incorporate your other Digital Library Fronts (Epic / GoG / Amazon) into Your Steam Library and Access / Play them From Within Your Steam Account.

I too had success with DC2,, but for some odd reason the Main Menu / Title Screen is Pitch-Black ... other than that, part 2 works Just Fine (with Heroic). *except for the Menu Select*

To get the movies to display in DC2 use winetricks and install directshow

Works great now minus missing controller support.

Appoloin: To get the movies to display in DC2 use winetricks and install directshow
I'm using CachyOS on a desktop PC and the fmv's work fine with proton-cachyos. That was a pleasant surprise.
