Ok, so I read that I have to match the door buttons with the rod symbols (after trying and failing many times)...But the damn symbols are not very clear!

What am I doing wrong (see pic attached)?

I can't quite figure out what the symbol between the cube and triangle is. I assume the rightmost is the hexagon? Bloody rod could sure use a few more pixels :/

Ok apparently I had to examine the rod with the examine tool to see the combination - the icons in the small inventory view are meaningless :|
