I'm currently playing the hi-res version of the base game of Diablo. I made it to the Archbishop Lazarus' Lair, but I was about to die and went to town for healing potions before defeating Lazarus. Upon returning to the lair and finishing off the last of his minions, I noticed that Lazarus has disappeared. The area at the bottom of the altar room where most of his minions came from is now walled up, so I'm thinking there is an unresolved glitch.

I read that a previous patch supposedly resolved this issue, but I am stuck and really don't want to start the game over just so I can finish it. Have any of you encountered this issue, and is there a solution?

All solutions/suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Can you post your save game.
It appears I can only post images on here.

If you attach it to an issue here I will try and debug it for you https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX/issues
Ok, I opened an issue and attached it as a text document. It would not let me add it as a database file, or if it was compressed. Can you work with it as a text file? If not, I can try something else.

I'm not sure what you mean by database file? Also not sure what you mean by "as a text file" did you simply rename it to .txt? That doesn't exactly change it to a text file, but I guess if that gets it uploaded then that's a way to do it :) Normally just ziping it is the way to go.

You attached some meta file that doesn't have anything to do with Diablo. Diablo save games are .sv
I'm so sorry, it's been many years since I've messed with game save files. I've attached the .sv file in a zip folder here.

Scratch that, I'll post in github.

I have attached a fixed save game to the issue: https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX/issues/889

Thank you so much, friend! It worked like a charm! I can't thank you enough, I really didn't want to start the game over just to finish it. I'm sorry for all the trouble getting a copy of the save to you, but I hope you got some value out of seeing this bug as well.

Thanks again!
This issue has now been fixed in DevilutionX
