Hey, so this is my first time running Deus Ex. I'm using the Launcher and have HDTP, NewVision, Enhanced, and Shifter installed. My problem, however, is that the UI appears to be cut off at the top and the bottom. For example, I can't see the tabs at the top when I'm in the inventory screen and I can't actually start the game because the done button on the character creation screen is out of view. I'm not sure whether this is a UI scaling problem or a FOV problem, but help would be appreciated.

Oh, and my screen resolution is 1366x768.

It does work if I increase the screen resolution to the next step, but I'd still like to fix it. :/

It's definitely not a FOV issue; that doesn't affect the size of the UI. That leaves a scaling problem. Have you tried switching between the "Default GUI" and "Non-Scaling GUI" options in the options for Kentie's launcher?

EDIT: Missed your edit. Perhaps it's just an issue with Kentie's launcher at 1366x768.

I think so, it didn't do anything. I'll try again just to make sure.

EDIT: Actually, playing a little more, it's still slightly cut off, just not as much. So I guess I can increase the resolution till it's fine, but it's a pretty weird glitch.

EDIT2: Yeah, changing it between scaling and non-scaling doesn't do anything.

Sorry I can't help more; I have the same setup as you, and I've tried every variable I can think of, and I still can't replicate it. Try 1280x720 (which is also 16:9) and see if that does anything.

EDIT: Oh, wait, duh! What rendering engine are you using? That might affect it.

Ah, I hadn't thought of the rendering enigine. I'm using DX10. I'll try switching it around to see if it helps.

EDIT: Played around with it a bit, nothing. It's perfectly playable 1440x900 though, so it's not a big deal.

While I'm at it, I just attached a laser sight to my pistol and it is waaaay to the left of my crosshair. Is there any way of fixing this that you know of?

Your aim "wanders around" a bit within the reticule. With Shifter and derivatives, the laser sight simply shows WHERE it's wandering to; your shots will impact/head toward exactly where the laser dot is when you hit the fire button.

Not really relevant here, but in vanilla DX, the laser sight makes your weapon 100% accurate (minus recoil) as long as it doesn't have a scope.

Ah, alright. I wasn't sure whether it was because of wavering aim or whether it was a graphics glitch. and wow, sounds like laser sights were a bit cheap in vanilla.
I had the same problem with top/bottom clipping. It's the Enhanced mod, though the root cause may be at some lower level. I finally just dumped the mod, as I was having other problems. While the Enhanced mod worked fine with Direct3D 10 (the minor clipping problem notwithstanding), it 1) didn't work so well with OpenGL and 2) does not play well with BioMod.

I wanted OpenGL because I think NewVision looks much, much, better with OpenGL than with Direct3D 10; however, including Enhanced in the mix rendered (pun not intended) subtitles and dialog trees unreadable. I wanted BioMod because it makes augmentations useful; but BioMod appears incompatible with Enhanced. If I load Enhanced first, I don't have BioMod; and if I load BioMod first, Enhanced gets fubar -- probably due to BioMod's mucking with the .int file.

Now if I could easily read the tiny, tiny, text in the Goals/Notes section, I'd be a happy gamer; but alas! Enhanced is what makes that text readable at higher resolutions. So ... I'm ready to dump it all and go back to the vanilla game; but then, BioMod game saves are not "backwards" compatible.

Hm, that's good to know. Thankfully increasing the resolution a bit makes the game perfectly playable, but I'll keep that in mind if I ever install BioMod. Looks like Enhanced is a bit overly touchy. It might be possible to do some ini tinkering to make Enhanced and BioMod get along, but I have no idea what you'd need to do.
