had the issue of the game crashing before loading the main menu and found out the default launcher and shortcut are wrongly linked to DX2main.exe instead of DX2.exe, that happens both on gog galaxy and the backup installer.
for now the fix is to start from DX2.exe on where you installed ...\Deus Ex - Invisible War\System.
