Does anybody know how to launch Deus Ex with GMDX mod thru Gog galaxy ? When I click play on Galaxy it just launches the game without the mod.Thank you.

Hmm, I own the GoG version but never tried GMDX through galaxy. I'm curious now. Will give it a shot and if successful I'll get back to you.

Simple, you're not supposed to launch it through Galaxy. Use the GMDX shortcut.

I had the same question and thought it was not possible until I found this thread. Based on Thiev's post, here's what you need to do:

1) Locate the .info file in your game folder (in my case it was C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Deus Ex GOTY\goggame-1207658995.info)

2) Open the .info file with a text editor.

3) Assuming you have installed GMDX v9, under the first "playTasks" entry, make the following changes:

"name": "Deus Ex GOTY",
"path": "GMDXv9//Play_GMDX.lnk",
"type": "FileTask",
"workingDir": "GMDXv9"

4) Restart GOG Galaxy.

5) Launch the game by clicking the 'Play' button.

Hi.Sorry for such a late reply.I did manage to get it working,thank you for the assistance.

So, I installed the game fresh, then used GOG Galaxy to download the GMDX mod. Went to the folder and ran the install app. While it installs things, I get no shortcut labeled GMDX or anything similar. When I try to use the method mentioned above regarding altering the .info file, not only does it not work, when Galaxy restarts, ir no longer recognizes that the game is even installed. When I restored the original version of the .info, again, Galaxy did not show the game as installed. Anyavice on what I'm doing wrong? Should I, after re-instlling the game, launch the GMDX immediately upon installing the revision? Please help.
