Is there one for the first game, or one that shows your current position on the existing ones?

I beat the game earlier today and liked it a lot. Still I would've preferred an auto-map like System Shock 1 and Ultima Underworld (not modern games) had but it did retain being able to input notes at least which was nice.
An auto-map keeps the exploration element but lets you avoid going back around when exploring thoroughly by accidentally taking shortcuts to where you had already been, which happened many times for me in DE, and makes backtracking more convenient if you're coming back after a break.
It could've also been woven into exploration by letting you find hidden maps in each facility, and/or the augmentation system letting players choose it as a skill, or buy them from the trader NPCs.
