Just wondering if we will be getting the Linux version on GOG?
I'd like to know as well.
I'm interested in a - positive - answer, too.
Curious about this also.
You could try using Proton or Lutris to run the game on Linux. From the reports I've been reading on the game's ProtonDB entry it sounds like the Windows version played via Steamplay runs better than the native Linux port. You can add non Steam games to it as well.

I'm not running Linux so I can't test it for myself though.

We won't be getting it. Feral doesn't support DRM free versions like GOG and they're the ones who would have to do it. SE obviosuly doesn't mess with Linux as they outsorce the work and the response I have gotten from feral in the past regarding GOG releases was no. To anybody who wants to flame me for this view: prove me wrong. Either show me a game where Feral has made a Linux version that went DRM free or show me an email response where they said they would. I would love a DRM free version of any game but in this case it just ain't going to happen.

I've asked for Feral releases to be a thing on the wishlist even though it seems that their policy is not to engage with GoG. You never know. If you want a native port of this game you'll need to wait for the steam sale regretably.

I won't be getting this game although its on my list. The alternative is for GoG to support playing on linux more actively through wine, lutris, gamehub and Proton etc, similarly to the efforts Steam is applying to encourage gaming on Linux.

Its a shame that games with Linux ports don't show up on GoG because I would snap it up for native linux support.

The best platform for native games appears to be non DRM-Free at the moment at least.

The culprit in why Linux games don't always show up on GOG is the publisher/developer not GOG. It's not like GOG tells them to exclude them. The best platform is the one that gives you the most things you want. For me that is DRM free games and the ability to download the install files so I can choose which version I install. Both Itch.io and GOG meet my needs for that.Steam has better community features but that is a distant secondary for my priorities.
Asked on Steam, can confirm this isn't planned for any of their ports, sadly.
i would also like to have a linux version
Since the performance of the native linux-version is much worse than the windows-version i would suggest to run the game with wine+dxvk anyway.

Just be aware that wine-versions 5.12 up to including 5.19 have a bug, which let the game crash if not started via the galaxy-client.

Also d3dcompiler_47 need to be installed via winetricks.

Ditto #37 Linux is god(ly).

FYI: I would attempt it in Crossover Office's Linux game engine before I tried one of those options mentioned above. I've never even heard of those.
