GHOSTMD: the galaxy communication service runs in the background ever since uhhh i dunno 2016 or so KILL that service you ll see it ll not effect the game at any stage, the launcher itself is another service running, check it if you use galaxy.
GalaxyCommunication.exe is a part of Galaxy. If you don't have Galaxy installed, this service isn't present on your PC.
It wasn't the game itself which had the DRM. The base game itself was running fine without GalaxyCommunication.exe. It was the Season Pass DLC. Check my screenshots. The first one with GalaxyCommunication.exe running, the second one without.
GHOSTMD: the Games are DRM free you OWN them, you also say VC++ Runtimes are DRM? Just because games need them?
You claim Net Framework is DRM just because it is needed to RUN in the background?
NO
GalaxyCommunication.exe was never necessary to run games from GOG. The Offline Installers don't have this service included. It was a bug and GOG solved it already. Both, base game and Season Pass DLC are now DRM free.
GHOSTMD: It is as i said as long as the game starts without Internet and without Galaxy running (THE LAUNCHER), it is
as it should be, clearly without and DRM measures.
Again, the game was running fine. The DLC was faulty. If you don't have Galaxy installed, there is no GalaxyCommunication.exe which was needed to run the DLC content.
GHOSTMD: If that service would be DRM then the game would be killed the moment you kill that service, that never happend
to me. As long as i test the purchases i make on GoG. You may ask the support why they decided to
let the communication service run in the background.
It stays running because of Galaxy multiplayer so you can play games with Galaxy implemented multiplayer without running the Galaxy launcher.
GHOSTMD: PS: Check the snippet i made, as you can see there the service is killed and DE MD is running.
Your screenshot shows the main menu of the game. The DLC content is in the Jensens Storys submenu.
