The game may stutter quite a bit on Nvidia cards, it certainly did for me.
From an old post on the Steam forums:

"
*CORRECT FIX* for FPS problems and stuttering. *NVIDIA ESPECIALLY*
There are a few different regedit fixes floating around right now. Most of them are parroting incorrect information from people guessing and trying things around the time the original game launched last year. Here is the correct and up to date information specifically for the Director's Cut:

Open regedit.exe

Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC
Change "AllowJobStealing" to a "0", keep it as Hex if asked

*IMPORTANT*
If you are an Nvidia user you also need to change:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC\Graphics
Set "ATIForceFetch4" to "0", keep it as hex if asked."

Additonally, it may help to disable Tripple Buffering in game and/or the NVIDIA Control Panel.
None of this could help in some cases. Then disable DirectX11.
Fast vsync in nvidia control panel is what did it for me, running like it should now.
doesn't work for me

Hey! Look! Found this.

>Intended for Nvidia GPUs only. I have never had any experience with AMD GPUs.

>A lot of people have been unable to fix the stuttering present in the Director's Cut even after applying the registry tweaks. I realized this one fix wasn't included in the guides on improving performance out there so, here it is:

>Go to the Nvidia Control Panel or the Nvidia Profile Inspector.
>Open Deus Ex: Human Revolution - DC's profile settings.
>Change the V-Sync option to "Fast Sync".

Finally, game running without any stuttering! Turn everything on (directx 11, tesselatiob, tripple buffering, etc.). Apply this fix (registry fix previously, also).

In my case there is no such option as "fast sync" in nvidia control panel, so I use this

I ALWAYS ASKED FOR THIS!

Thanks man this worked. The fast sync, plus the registry fix, and I have everything turned on with max settings.
For some ppl changing API from DrirectX to Vulcan helps with DXVK Async
I use dxvk-gplasync version 2.3.1 atm
