Not a huge problem but when I quit the game it hangs and then after a few seconds Windows tells me the game has stopped working. Anyone else having this?

Yes, although it doesn't have the not responding pop-up, it locks up for about 20 or so seconds after clicking 'exit' before actually closing down the game.

Yes I have it too, it happens on the Steam version as well.

Yeah, happening for me too. The notification and application itself doesn't actually go away, though, and the only way to get past this is to hard reset as mouse and keyboard stop responding.

Did anyone solve this, that'll keep it from happening? I know it's an old thread but just downloaded the game to play again. Used to own on XBOX 360. While it seems minor, it is annoying and shouldn't be happening.

My "fix" is to alt-tab out of the game and use right-click on the taskbar icon to "close the window". This works for me and i don't get crashes. It makes the issue a very minor annoyance. The game is no longer maintained so don't count on a fix :/

Thank you Bob. I have done this for other games but followed Mjim and waited and sure enough it just took a while longer than average to exit. Only tried it once but your options sound as you said, makes it a minor annoyance.

That's what I figured, a game this old, with a glitch like that, that hurts no one or affects game play, wouldn't be addressed at this point in time. Your post is old, but I had this same problem. Followed your advice and worked for me. Jensen and company just slow in the shutdown. Happy New Year and thank you!
