As in the title - I have skipped the second game, as it has poor rating here on GOG, but third seems good so far (playing the free demo at the moment). It seems like it ignores the first game, story-wise, actually (as Cooper seems to have never met McCoy before, while if memory serves, they were on the same team in the first game), but I prefer to be sure.

Will I miss/lose anything, story-wise, having never played Desperados 2?

Hope this isn't too late a reply, but you don't have to have played the second game before Desperados III. The third is a prequel to even the first game, so it's a stand alone story.
