Hello,

does anyone know if it is possible to hide the title bar of the window when playing Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive? I made a screenshot and attached it here to clarify what I exactly mean.
I was already searching the internet and also this forum here, but couldn't find any answers so far.

Thanks! :-)

Thanks for your answer scorpios_c.
Yes, i already tried that one, I know it from DosBox. Unfortunately it just switches from fullscreen to a smaller window. The title bar remains in both cases.
As far as I know it's something that happens when you run the game with an integrated graphics card and there are no known solutions that I'm aware of (apart from getting used to it). You could also try an earlier version of the installer if you have one backed up (I'm not entirely sure about the legal status of procuring one from... hrm... alternative sources in case you've indeed purchased the game otherwise) with an unofficial widescreen patch. The advantage of this workaround is that you'll have a product running in a compromise-free fullscreen mode with generally lower disk space and system requirements (although I doubt any of them would prove to be a serious issue for anyone nowadays as we're talking about a 19 years old game) but on the downside you won't get access to the demo mission (which is a good one by the way) and it has a lesser compatibility with newer operating systems (none with Linux, at least natively). I only tested this method on Win7 (64-bit) but worked like a charm: it ran and even looked better than the current version (which has troubles with aliasing on higher levels of zoom). I can look up the exact version number I used and attach a few screenshots (for both of which I have to search on my other computer) to demonstrate if you're interested.

I'm glad for this release nonetheless but I still cannot quite understand why such a seemingly small technical problem couldn't be solved for a game of this age. It would be perfect for older laptops which usually have integrated graphics only...

Bit late to the party, but (maybe for others as well) next to the play button in Galaxy there is an 'option' button. Check 'manage installation', then 'configure...' and go back to the 1.0 version. Should do it.
Add this to command line: FORCEBORDERLESS this will force it to go fullscreen.

Hey guys,

Here is the guide how to run Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive fullscreen without top border on integrated Intel HD UHD Iris Graphics without using GOG Galaxy or Steam client:

1) Navigate Desperados shortcut on your desktop or "Launch Desperados" in the game folder
2) Right click on it and select Properties
3) Click on the Shortcut tab (top section)
4) In the target field add space after the last " and add FORCEBORDERLESS, should look like this:

"C:\GOG Games\Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive\desperados.exe" FORCEBORDERLESS

DO NOT add "-" symbol before FORCEBORDERLESS, that is the reason it doesn't work for most folks, as it is usually added when setting launch options in Windows
5) Enjoy fullscreen experience!

Hope this helps somebody, took me a while to figure it out.
Devs could just describe these steps in the readme.txt in a game folder, which refers to Steam launch options even in the game downloaded from GOG.

The next step is to find the way to force Vsync as Intel Command Center option does nothing.

Note: If you have a black screen after exiting the game, just lock and unlock the device (in case it's a tablet) or put it to sleep and wake it in case it's a laptop or desktop pc.
