I have DD+Goatperson installed, but I have a few second-tier classes unlocked and no Goatperson in sight. Is this working as intended, and it's just a late-game hard mode unlock, or did I botch my installation somehow?

Windows 8 user here, btw...

You must unlock all 9 deities before the Goatperson can be unlocked.

Thanks. I found one random tip on the internet saying something else, and that turned out to be wrong. What you're saying sounds plausible. I hope I make it.

Take your time. The Goatperson is supposed to be end-game content; by the time you're ready for it, unlocking it will be easy (and don't get sticker-shock, 5000 GP isn't nearly as much as it feels like right now).
Actually, I found the glade. There's a sub-dungeon in which you kill a goat, and I think that triggers the Goat Glade. I did find it somewhere out in the snowy East, but it wasn't the first ice map I had unlocked. So I think I misread the first information I found, but it may have been correct.

The sacrificial Goat is unique to the Creeplight Ruins. This subdungeon is always present (in addition to a random one) on this dungeon. Killing this Goat causes the cultists to transform into Shades. I don't think it's directly related to the Goat Glade.

(there are more than a few things Goat-related in this game, if you haven't noticed)
I only have four gods, nor did I kill a sub dungeon goat and it just unlocked for me. I think you need to unlock all four hard level (tier 3) maps to unlock it. If this isn't the case then it may be unlocked via total gold collected as I've been spamming bet on boss preparations every run. This is just speculation however, based on my experience with the game

Things I unlocked so far: all races but goblins (no monster classes yet), lv 2 mage tower, church, bank, smith and bazaar, and lv 3 guild and thieves den. I've also beaten several puzzles and all available bronze and some silver challenges

I ran two new kingdoms over the course of this week, and in both cases the Goat Glade was unlocked after my 4th deity, so I'd agree that's probably what triggers the Glade to unlock. It's the Crusader that requires 9 deities unlocked before he appears (I knew there was a class that required this).
It isn't the hard maps - I had the goat glade show up when neither the jungle or swamp missions had been completed. I *think* I had encountered four deities at that point, so that's probably it.

I suppose it could have multiple triggers, too.

The Goatperson has a "roulette" feature that causes your active altar to change every time you level up. This obviously cannot function unless there are at least two altars in the dungeon, and that happens after you've unlocked four deities total. So requiring four deities unlocked makes sense.

Since you don't need to actually beat the level they are encountered on to unlock them, it's quite possible to have the deities unlocked without having beaten their respective dungeons.

It's the deities. I got my fourth deity the same time I unlocked my fourth hard map, so I got my triggers confused
