Is there a manual anywhere, or general description of the interface and what is or might be going on?

Can't believe there's no info, but maybe I did not mention that my request concerns DESCENT Underground.

I apologize for the delay. We do have some manual-like information up in these places:

Some of this is out-of-date. We are planning to go back and update in advance of the single-player launch, but we're focused on getting that finished at the moment.

We do check the GOG forums, but the fastest answers to specific questions can often be gotten at our forums, as many of our experienced players hang out there and sometimes beat us to a good response.
