Hello guys, this is my first topic in the GOG forum, and it's about Descent and ports (D2X):

*About the controls, i have played the shareware version of D1 with a USB Dualstick gamepad (not the XBox 360 controller). So, when i was adjusting the controls, looks like the game recognize up to four buttons, does the D2X-XL fix the problem and expand the number of buttons?

*Is possible to calibrate each thumbstick?
Example: left stick to aim and turn left & right and right stick to move foward, back and strafe left & Right?

Thanks! ;)

I tend to use Rebirth, but if I recall correctly, this applies to D2X-XL as well. You should be able to use whatever buttons are available on your controller. Basically everything that shows up in the Game Controllers dialog in Windows. You can likewise map all your controller axes to any of the six axes for ship control. I believe calibration of your controller is handled through the Game Controllers dialog, but you can set the sensitivity and dead-zone within the game. In Rebirth, it looks like these adjustments might be limited to just the primary X and Y axes, not sure how that works.
