Just finished Descent and went to play Descent 2 but the mine is bouncing up and down so badly, I cannot aim and shoot properly. I tried different graphic settings and still cannot make it work right. Any suggestions?

Which source port are you using: Retro, Rebirth, or D2X-XL? Is this happening immediately on game start in the first level?

GOG Galaxy via dosbox. Yes, it is immediate. I also remember this happening years ago when I first played the game but I don't remember how I fixed it. Per two suggestions I found, I tried to change the dosbox config file to pentium_slow instead of auto but that didn't work and also changed the sensitivity but that didn't work either.

Descent and Descent 3 work fine. Also, I use the keyboard to play. I am having Descent withdrawals and need to play soon :)

I haven't figured out how to set up D2X-XL...

I finally found an easy to understand download of REBIRTH and I can play Descent 2 now just fine. Thanks so much for responding to me and offering your assistance.
