can you some how dis activate them or will they constantly spit out new badies forever and eternity.

They're there forever. They often have some kind of trigger point though, which is why when you approach them they start churning out the robots!
You may want to plant proximity bombs in front of one if you know you're coming back that way, too.

Like BoxOfSnoo said, they only trigger when you fly through a certain area. And they will only spit out three robots each time they are triggered.
However, they can only be triggered three times. So if you set one off, wait for it to finish (kill the bots), back up and trigger it again. And again. And then it'll be done and won't bother you any more.

Unless you are in INSANE mode then the robot generators Never stop... I personally use ACE that way after 3 generator triggers, the generator stops
