Hi,

I am really looking forward to buying this game on DVD but according to playing instructions it says that steam is needed to be installed to play this. Is this the same with the GOG version?

Kind Thanks in advance!
You don't need Steam to install and play Deponia 2 or any other game which you buy from GOG.com
Edit: Nevermind. I was wrong. OP wants the GOG version.

Maestra249: First I thought that OlausPetrus was right, even if he was referring to the GOG version. Because I own the German retail of Deponia 2 and there definitely wasn't any Steam involved.

But then I read the following on Amazon.co.uk:
Amazon review

Seems like the English version does require a Steam activation...
Can anybody confirm this?

Edit: Since the DVD versions of games aren't at all related to GOG, you may try the discussion board of the developer Daedalic Entertainment. Maybe the question has already been asked somewhere.
???

I was right. The OP already knew that the English DVD demands Steam and asked if the same was true with the GOG version, which unlike the DVD version doesn't require Steam.

Oh, yeah, I'm sorry! Must have had a temporary mind short-circuit, didn't register the whole post.
Hi,

Thank you for your answers and thank you GOG, I will be downloading from you shortly, Thanks!

Am I seriously missing something with steam, I mean really?! I have installed several games on Steam in offline mode... so why would you NEED an internet connection?!
