I installed Deponia 1 on my laptop which has a resolution of 1366x768, when I go to the options menu it will not let me change the resolution, it is stuck on 1920x1080. Is this normal? My computer is Win7-64bit.

Try this - unclick "fullscreen" and you should be able to set the resolution, then switch it back to fullscreen.

Unfortunately it did not, the game stopped working for me after changing the settings.

Try to edit config.ini file (Users\*Username*\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment\Deponia\)

Try right-clicking on the game icon in the Start Menu, going into Properties --> Compatibility, then check the box next to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".

In full screen, the game just runs at your desktop resolution so it should be running at 1366x768 already. The resolution settings in the menu are for windowed mode.

You can specify a full screen resolution in the .ini file as triock says though.
