After getting the keys to the backyard and exiting the diner in episode 2, chapter 9, the game crashes. I've tried playing again every now and then, inbetween driver updates and such, but after maybe 10 tries, no luck. It always crashes at the same point, when Emily leaves, and York starts talking to Zach. I have DPfix installed, and I'm running Windows 10 64-bit.

No clue if none of that works sadly, the port sucks.

Someone mentions replaying 8 and it working after so I guess that might work.

Hah, one of the users in the thread suggested smoking cigarettes for a few hours, and this worked! I am now past the scene that always crashed. Kudos! :)

A few things that sometimes helped with game crashes for me were setting DP.exe to Windows 98 compatibility and playing the game in windowed mode. Windows 98 compatibility mode seems to make the game loading screens take longer, so you may want to toggle it back and forth as needed.

Huh, I didn't know this game even had support for Windows 98. Thanks for the tip, I'll try this if I run into any more issues :)

It doesn't, but it sometimes works for some reason. :P
