I frequently run into a bug where movement or attack keys, especially the "down" key, act as if they were permanently pressed until I restart the game. This also affects menus, e.g. when "down" is stuck, then the menu selection moves to the last item on its own. Pressing and releasing the actual keys has no effect at all. This happens on PC with everything mapped to keyboard (ie attack 1/2 moved to numpad 1/2 instead of the mouse buttons).

I am pretty sure that this happens when a "cutscene" is activated, most notably in boss fights (e.g. the stage change in the Clockmaker fight), but it seems to happen with elite enemies as well.

This has been happening with the previous build (during July) all the tme, but I didn't report it because I was sure something this obvious would be known already. But now there was an update and the bug is still present.
I just wanted to point out that this problem does not only still exist, but has actually gotten *worse* in 1.0 (or the last GOG update before that).

Before, it pretty much only happened in boss fights. Now it even occurs in normal play. I literally had this bug happen within the first minutes of playing after the 1.0 update, still within the Prisoner's Quarters.

What I have observed so far:
- It happens very frequently for the "down" key, sometimes for the secondary attack key (usually when using a shileld), and very rarely for the primary attack - I have only seen this happen once, while using a bow (quick bow IIRC).
- I have never observed this for the left/right/up keys so far.
- It seems to happen very frequently when time slows down (e.g. on sudden death prevention), during certain boss special attacks (especially Time Keeper and HotK), and during "stage change" cutscenes of bosses or elite enemies.
- In rare cases, this can be reset by pressing/hammering the stuck key until another of these events occurs. Usually, I don't live long enough to observe/test this, though.

Please fix this soon - right now I am forced to create (and restore from) save game backups because it is incredibly frustrating to lose a good run due to a random bug like this. Without this hack, the game would be completely unplayable for me.
Some more information:
- OS: Windows 7 Pro
- German keyboard layout
- Standard key layout except setting attack1 to Num1, attack2 to Num2, and "use" to NumEnter
- Using WASD for movement, not the cursor keys (just to be sure)
- I tried resetting controls to default and only changed these keys, with no effect
- Starting a new savegame slot for 1.0 had no effect.
- Validating the installation in GOG had no effect either.
This bug is STILL present in the 1.2.10 update. :( It pretty much ruins the game for me.

Am I really the only one affected by this? My setup doesn't seem so special....

I'm experiencing this as well, and occasionally get clobbered (unjustly!) because of it. Doesn't seem to be only the one key - can be left, right etc or sometimes just appears to stand still for a bit. Have played with keyboard mouse since before 1.0 and it is definitely more noticable now (330 hours clocked on this game. Good grief...).

I'm about to investigate a Motion Twin / Evil Empire bug tracker / logger etc. Good luck and I'll post back if I find something useful.

Did a bit of digging on Steam (apparently that is one place where you can log bugs for Dead Cells). This one has been around for a while and a few people have had success by rebinding keys. Specifically, change the arrow keys bindings so that they are the same as WASD. I've had a few playthroughs and it hasn't reoccured, but then again it didn't happen every minute for me, so will see what happens. Hope it gets you on the right track anyway and all the best.

EDIT: It is STILL happening. Actually pretty frustrating now as it has killed me a couple of times. Might need to finally buy a controller.
