As far as I remember, there was Maniac Manson included in the old DOTT. You where able to play MM at a computer in Freds house. Will this also apply to this version of DOTT?
Nevermind ... I've found my answer in the games description. :-)
I remember the game was accessed by using the computer in Weird Ed Edison's room. I wonder if Maniac Mansion is remastered too (like Maniac Mansion Enhanced) or still the same as the original game.
The Enhanced PC-Version is going to be used. Not the one by LucasFans, but this one:

I came here to find out if it would be remastered too, this is disappointing, i actually enjoyed Maniac Mansion More then DOTT, so i was hoping for a Remaster of it too, lazy to just use an emulated version.

There was talk of not including it at all.

Also, other than DoT, MM was Ron Gilbert's game, not Tim Schafer's. That certainly contributed to Tim Schafer's company doing a DoT remaster and not one for MM.

I would have loved a remake for MM as well, but it's just asking for the stars at this point.

A remastered version of Maniac Manson would be an instant buy for me and I hope it will be done once.

Meanwhile, I'm glad Maniac Manson got added to the remastered DOTT after all.
We might not see a remade Maniac Mansion ever, but at least Ron Gilbert is making a new game that might come out this year, Thimbleweed Park.
Fan made Maniac Mansion which is free is kind of remastered, but I do hope we get one anyways. At least, we are getting classic Maniac Mansion for free as it is included with DOTT remastered.
What is the situation with Ron anyway? Something preventing a team up? It's not like it has to be permanent.

I think it's a legal/rights issue first and foremost. The fact that Lucas sold everything to Disney certainly didn't make things easier.

I'm also reading between the lines that Ron Gilbert is more interested in making new games rather than remaking old ones. Only my interpretation of the situation of course.

But I guess you could ask him on twitter. Maybe he will even comment on it. https://twitter.com/grumpygamer

And I'm looking forward to those new games. Especially if they aren't restrained by a linear chapter structure like most modern adventures.

I'm really looking forward to Thimbleweed Park. Being able to play more than one character and all that is very much like MM of course.
Ron talked sometimes about it in his personal blog http://grumpygamer.com: He created Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island and he would have liked to do more things of Maniac Mansion and "his" Monkey Island 3 (http://grumpygamer.com/if_i_made_another_monkeyisland) but he doesn't own nothing and only if he own them and he can do what he want to do, he would do.

But returing to Maniac Mansion in DOTT Remastered,I have a question: In the Spanish version of original DOTT, the version of MM is the enhanced spanish. It's clear that the DOTT Remastered have the enhanced version of MM, but, only in english for all languages or with some languages?

PD.: A tip: The Original MM version is similar to the original first C64 version, the Enhanced version was made by LucasArts later, and the Remake was made by fans (LucasFan Games) in AGS, nothing official.

No German version either.
And in contrast to the original DOTT, MM can be interrupted and continued where you left it, and your progress is saved with the DOTT savegame. There is no savegame menu in MM itself it seems.
