Has anyone here played the ice age scenario (the one where it is cold so I assume less agriculture is possible)?

I was just wondering how they handled it, ie, if it is just two periods long rather then four or how they handled the bronze age warm up (it is believed global temperatures were warmer then than even now). Guess I'll find out but a little pre-game intel would be great.

I found that you really have to rely on 1. fishing and hunting and 2. drying racks. If you keep your food stocks high enough, you will have increased happiness, and have people join/births. As your weapons aren't very effective, you have to manually select a large group of adults to go and hunt large beasts. The more people you have attacking, the quicker the beast comes down, and the less likely anyone will die or get hurt. Killing animals near your settlement will mean less walking to go collect the materials (I'm assuming there aren't sleds or carts yet).

In storms, manually select all your minions who are far off from the settlement and make them come back. This prevents death from hypothermia. Have several burial mounds to stop happiness from dropping too much when someone does die.

One more thing, skins are a valuable resource. Keep your building number down as small as possible as they need repairing with more skins.

Hope this helps
