Initially I was getting a DX error as reported by others, but got it working by using wine 3.16 on linux. not sure on the windows side of things but seems to be running flawlessly now, I've not tried other wine versions but recent wine/proton experimental error out after the main menu / character creation.

Didn't need to do anything else just launched with wine 3.16 (using Heroic Launcher)
