I've been really wanting to play this game multiplayer since the concept of two people running around pillaging loot sounded amazing. I ran into some problems however:

1. Neither my Hamachi IP or standard IP was recognised when hosting
2. When I did get it to recognise (OpenVPN) upon joining my friends game I get a blank screen followed by Unknown Quests Module error. I'm sorry, but I thought the multiplayer would work on this being a GOG release... How do I fix this?

I tried to play with a friend today, we bought the game for the same purpose. We used Tunggle, and he could see my created game, but he wasn't able to join.

I don't know what the problem is, I already port-forwarded the ports the game used.

Anyway, I had some problems with the graphics of the game, for instance, i couldn't see my health and mana bar. I may not play the game until a proper patch comes out. Such a shame, i bought it to play it through with a mate.
I've discovered a solution.

There's a tool called GameRanger which shows compatibility for Darkstone. I tried it out, got my friend to download it too and we've now been playing the game for six hours and loving every minute of it. Try that and it should definitely work!

I can confirm that GameRanger doesn't help. Did you use the GOG versions or a disc?
