What the topic title says, since I recently finished the game 100% on Normal and have access to the Abyssal Armor for subsequent playthoughs through.

-EDIT-
Never mind, found out that the game was able to import my save files from the original Darksiders and the worked on Warmastered Edition.

I just tested this myself and, yes, the Warmastered Edition even does a scan for saves of the Legacy version of the game and they're compatible with the new edition; no need to worry about that.

It also seems this studio did a much better job with the game than the guys who worked on Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition.

I am curious as to whether on not the GOG version can detect save data from the Steam version and vice versa. I have an old save file from the Steam version years ago (I just stopped playing for whatever reason), so I'll test it out tomorrow as I'm letting the game install overnight. Worst case I suppose I can install the original version on GOG and manually move the save file for conversion, but I'd rather not have to go through all that.

No kidding. Darksiders Warmastered Edition looks and runs better than Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition, and the former has higher resolution textures, not to mention better anti-aliasing settings (that actually works), anisotropic filtering, and borderless fullscreen, all built into the game. My rig isn't that great and I can run Darksiders I's remaster with the High-level textures far better than II's. How is it that the latter still hasn't gotten this kind of treatment?

Yeah, me too. I might use this as an opportunity to get the game outside of Steam.
