No. :(

(I've switched back to the standard edition, works flawlessly ...)
Has this been fixed? I'm tempted to buy this in the current sale.

It's not fixed, bought it the other day and the buttons prompts are not there,as MBiL_248 says the original version doesn't have this problem but this sucks since i already had the original version and was waiting to buy and play directly on the definitive version once on sale.

Still not fixed either. I've emailed GOG support again. be nice if we could somehow extract the patch from Steam and import it into GOG. I for one am not smart enough to do that!!
I messaged gog for a refund because I was tired of waiting and was told nordic knows of the problem, but it has literally been 6 months without any support. this is ridiculous.
I've tried tweeting one of the devs about the issue and not much of a response since I informed him. I'm tempted to e-mail Nordic on why the hell the patch to fix the GOG version isn't even out when Steam owners are getting beta patches.

Here's the tweet about an update if anyone wants to annoy them into getting the patch ASAP on GOG.

Since I got this game gifted on GOG two days ago I tried to use the steam executable with the GOG version of the game. Unfortunately the game does not start anymore after that. So it's not that easy.

What about replacing the GOG data files with the Steam files but use GOG's executable? It has to be the files that somebody at Nordic/Gunfire Studios/Vigil Games screwed up with the GOG version and maybe using data from the Steam version might fix the former.

Tried it and it works. The prompts are shown and I noticed that the prompts are looking different than the ones the game showed in the GOG release prior to patching. However I don't know what we have acieved now. The datafiles are far too big to share...

Edit:
In fact apart from the executable there are only three files in the steam version that differ from the GOG version:

media.upak (about 7GB)
scripts.obsp (about 17MB)
worlds.bin (about 32MB)

tried to shuffle around the smaller files but this is breaking other things (menu descriptions i.e.)

I have also written Nordic today telling them what I think of their "money now - fix game laaaaaater" policy.

Well i guess that's promising to a degree. Steam sale starts on Thursday (23rd June) so if it drops significantly I might pick it up and attempt a refund on the GOG version. Obviously there are other ways to get the files I'm sure of it, but these methods escape me... ;-)

Yes, it has been fixed, long time ago (2 years).
