Hello fellow gamers!

I hope some of you came across this issue and found a fix for it. As soon as I start the game, I experience screen tearing and stutter from the depths of hell. I have no idea how to resolve this one.

What I tried:

1. Forcing Tripple Buffering and V-sync from Nvidia control panel. Doesn't work.
2. Using D3DOverrider programme. No effect.
3. Using Skyrim Stutter Fix as suggested by some users. No effect.

I am running Windows 10 and tried a variety of compatibility modes with no effect.

Anyone found a working fix or a workaround?
Since i am a lazy bastard and the issue is still relevant in the Remaster (glad i got it for free) i will copy what i wrote in the thread relating to Maximum Shadow crash, here are the steps you have to do

For every user:
Disable V-sync in game since it's terrible in either base or deathinitive

AMD users:

Downlaod RadeonPRO (im surprised it worked under Windows 10)
Create a profile for Darksiders 2 DE
Go into Advanced tab and switch Flip Queue Size to 1
Go into Tweaks tab and set Vsync Control to Always On or whatever you prefer (Always On works for me)
right click on the created profile and use Apply Now
After everything is done click right click and play the game

Nvidia Users:
I don't know if this works the same (it should) because i don't have an Nvidia card available right now
Open nvidia control panel, add darksiders2 to applications profile
Set MAX FRAMES AHEAD to 1
Force enable nvidia control panels form of v-sync (make sure the v-sync option in the game is disabled first)
I'm a nVidia user and the parameters you gave work for me (at least, for the last hour - first dungeon). I just needed to disable SLI for this game as the MAX FRAMES AHEAD is not applied with SLI enabled.

Thanks Coolster.

I dunno if you're still interested on getting an answer for this 8 months later, but for the original release, I disabled Vsync ingame and I found that running it on Windowed Borderless (google Borderless Gaming), coupled with RivaTuner limiting the fps to either 30 or 60 (using MSI Afterburner) fixes both the tearing and the microstuttering problems.

For the Deathinitive Edition... A refund is the best answer.

Sorry to necro this post, hope this helps.
