Hey there, a great fan of the game here...till a minute ago. I was assaulting The Swine Prince. Had quite a good team. The boss had a speed of 2...and that is very important, since all of my team members had a speed of at least 10. The SP manages to attack 3 times when i only get 1 movement round. I know that this is a boss and he is supposed to be hard, I get that. But that is just cheating the mechanics of entire game. I don't accept that. So sad i've discovered that :(
I can understand your frustration. This situation involves how speed is ultimately determined in the game. Upon each action, the game rolls an 8-sided die, the value of which is added to that character's current speed rating. Whoever has the highest speed obviously moves first. in the event of a tie, a reroll occurs, the result of which is added on to determine the new speed. Although somewhat rare, with a high enough roll even a slow enemy like the Swine Prince can conceivably move before your party. It has happened to me more than once and cost me several victories in the past. But really, it's nothing more than a dose of bad RNG.

I don't know if you've already defeated the Swine Prince, but I'd strongly suggest bringing the Arbalest to the encounter.

Her Rallying Flare ability will remove Wilbur's mark(s), clear Stuns on your heroes, and provide debuff resistance. Without a marked target, the Swine Prince's attacks become much less brutal.

Even if the boss acts multiple times and you feel "cheated," you can negate most of the difficulty of the fight by using this strategy.
