I know the game is woefully incomplete, but I still wanted to get to the lousy ending so that I could at least speak authoritatively about it. Well, I seem to be unable to even do that.

I just beat the Queen and my path in every direction forward and back are blocked. There is nothing ahead of the Queen battle area except apparently indestructible matter, and going back the way I came I eventually reach the platforms-and-ladders section. The lower part is blocked by alien growth, and the upper by a wall that came down at some point. I tried grenades on the growth but a full clip seemed to have no effect. Did I miss something, or is this yet another flaw in the game?

I actually don't have the game anymore (got a refund / got rid of installer), so, I can't go back and find the exact info... but, yeah I think ultimately you need to blow up some of the alien wall stuff with the grenade launcher. I really don't remember exactly where, only that I didn't really have any problems getting from the "queen" to the "ending".

Now that I think about it, that wall you're talking about was maybe supposed to have retracted when you beat the samurai bug thing... so, maybe the game missed a trigger or something. (I had that happen to me a few times while playing (particularly with the "backstage pass" quest -- did stuff too much out of order with the breakers, and had to reload from an earlier hardsave to fix things.)

Well, good luck.

Thanks for the info. I pretty much figured it was a glitch, so I'll see if reloading the game resolves it. If not then I'll have to go back to an old save. Not sure why I'm so determined to "finish" this incomplete mess, apart from a streak of masochism.

Cheers!
After the queen I went back the way I came and used the train again. At first I thought I could use the Grenade Launcher on that tumor blocking the hallway but it didn't work. I think I had to jump up to a ledge to get back.

Thanks, it sounds like the door drop in my play was indeed a glitch. Imagine, a glitch in this otherwise flawless game. ;)
