I've finished the first Dark Fall a while ago, and I just got news of Dark Fall III (looks really scary! http://www.electronictheatre.co.uk/index.php/pc/pc-news/3597-dark-fall-lost-souls-goes-gold ), and I'm wondering: (When) can we expect to see Dark Fall: Lights Out on GOG.com?

I'm wondering the same. I was kind of hoping to get 'Lights Out' from gog before/around Christmas.
I'm not sure JoWooD holds any rights to Lights Out, which might make getting it difficult. :(

Good Point.
I didn't think about that :(
Who holds the rights for 'Lights Out' anyway ?
Iceberg Interactive? They are selling the (worldwide rights for) game via their store, which is linked directly from the developers http://www.darkfallgames.com/ site. There's no indication of JoWood on there, or any other party.

I really have no idea, i guess it could be them.
I hope gog manages to get Lights Out eventually. And Lost crown.
Just now a new "Director's Cut" version of the game was released:
"About: THE DIRECTORS CUT
This new version of 'Lights Out' features new ghosts, who watch and stalk you as you explore the historic lighthouse. They have vital clues to impart, as to what really happened, that foggy night back in 1912. Something unexplainable, and beyond imagining, lurks beneath the ancient island, which only the dead and disappeared can explain. You can now speak to the ghosts directly, in this new DIRECTORS CUT, allowing gamers to get right to the dark heart of this frightful story.
Some puzzles, and enigmas, have also been revamped, for ease of play and to enhance the story. Books and papers have been revised, to include stories relating to the island and its history of hauntings. Anyone playing the game for the first time is in for a frightful treat, where as seasoned 'Lights Out' fans will welcome the changes and new additions.
Lastly, the locations have been upgraded to be more lively. Fog rolls in off the sea, the harbour town of Trewarthan feels alive and the lighthouse in 1912 feels very spooky...there are shadows on the spiral stair, noises in the dark and ghostly apparitions to observe. All in all, this is the best version of the game, rightfully released in the lead up to Dark Fall: Lost Souls (the third chapter in the spooky supernatural series).."
Ah, it was Jowood after all and Lights Out is here now. Nice!

I downloaded dark fall 2 last night & am having problems with the journal. The birds clicking on the bird pictures does nothing, can someone give me a hand

I just checked and it's working. Clicking on the birds brings up the April 29th 'Seven O'clock' Journal entry.
When you're zoomed on the birds paintings, turn around instead of clicking and you'll be in Demarion's kitchen.
