I recently completed Dark Fall 2: Lights Out using PuzzleMasters game guide from gamefaqs.com and, quite frankly, I couldn't figure out what was going on! The guide I used wasn't a speed run. Anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me the full story and plot (If there is one). I know it has something to do with demons, and something/someone called Malakai... But what was with the space pod in ancient times from the far future?! how did that happen? I really liked the game, and I want to know the full story.
A quick P.S. I wasn't able to understand the voice from the final cutscene due to the reverberating voice filters and the like, maybe that's why I can't figure the story out.

This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
Malakai's speech at the end,

"My Parker is no demon, my Parker is my savior. Map man is thy name, map man is my freedom. I can now return, leave this place and never come back. My time is calling to me, soon I will be with my kind. All that will pass is set back on course and will never suffer corruption. My past deeds forgiven, my past crimes reversed. You have saved me, map man, and all time is yours..."

Does that help ?
Ah, Aha, that clears it up a little. Do you ever find out why that capsule (or probe) made it to earth in 2090BC from 2090AD? was Malakai inside this capsule?, or was he trapped here because of its impact?
This is from memory and it's been a while since i last played Lights Out but i think it's basically this,

Malakai was an advanced space probe with a very advanced AI sent out in to space to look for something. In case of trouble the AI was supposed to 'improvise' to try and get back on its own but something goes wrong and the probe goes back through time but in a way where it seems capable of affecting diifferent eras. It also affects people like Drake and Parker and others, maybe deliberately maybe not, but regardless it tries to get some help from those it affects to return to its own time, except while Parker is willing to help others like Drake seems not to be. When Malakai manages to finally launch to return to its time, with Parker's help, the timeline 'goings ons' that were brought about by the probe being in a time, or 'times', it didn't belonged are corrected, and basically the 'bad stuff' that happened is erased - much like it happens at the end of The Journal.

I always though the basic premise of the story was a tad similar to that of V'ger from Star Trek. The stories are very different but the basic premise is kinda the same, a machine that for whatever reason needs help.
O.K great! Thanks for letting me know, I didn't want to have to replay the whole thing over again just to find out what was happening.
You're welcome.

Keep in mind that i didn't went into much detail about the 'ghosts' and other stuff because i'd have to replay the game myself to do that, i'm a bit fuzzy on the details.
