So... I'm confused. The game came out with no censorship. Full nudity, full swearing, full violence, full everything.

Then something happened, and now we have... Censorboat?

I mean, we have swearing and violence and nudity - in the character creator and inventory - so it's not *quite* censorship... But for some reason we now have mandatory underwear in 1st person.

That is just weird.

There used to be mods for that, until the new patches (1.5 in particular) came out and broke them. The authors of the mods have apparently declined to update them, I'm sure they have their reasons. Possibly because they just gave up on the game entirely.

(There is probably still something out there if one looks hard enough, but why do we have to look hard enough in the first place?)

I'm honestly confused. Is it a clipping issue? Is it Sony crying foul because they cannot show dicks and pussies and the contract says the gameplay has to be the same on PC and fucktheplayerstation? Is it Microsoft losing their marbles again because reasons and inflicting ThinkUfThjeCheeldRUNNN views on everybody else?

What is going on? Was there an actual official answer at some point, or did CDPR just whistle and try to look innocent?

I'm not looking for a porn game, I would know where to find them if I were, and Cyberpunk would make a very poor one regardless. I'm just genuinely confused by this frankly bizarre choice and the lack of explanation.

I don't know the answer to your question, more speculating on your comment about the Playstation. I doubt the PS version would have any affect on other platforms or regions. The Resident Evil remakes (all platforms) were censored in Japan (which is where the PlayStation originated from), but not here in the west. If Sony or Japan wanted watered down content, they can simply make the version different for that platform/region.

I was quite honestly surprised it isn't possible to strip naked and walk around in public, with people (the AI) reacting to it.

Considering we were promised a "fully immersive sim" game and all that.
Can't kill or even aim at kids, even though some of those rude AF brats truly deserve it.
