SOLVED - EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005) (for me)

Hi

Wanted to share a fix I found for this error:

Registered crash info file...
InternalVersion: 3.0.3217599 P4CL: 4158334 Stream: //R6.Root/R6.Patch0Hotfix2

Error Reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to write to an inaccessible address at 0x7FFCDC2FDD80.

I turned off 'Bins'.. 'Bins' by 1up Industries is a program to organise your taskbar.. I have been using it since 2011, essential productivity app.

I did other things that I do not know if this helped launch the game (poured 8h+ hours in to just trying to launch the game):

turned off 'read only' in appdata>local>CD Projekt Red
SFC /scannow

other things .. I forget. The main thing is bins.. hope that helps!

This doesn't help.... What is "Bins"? Is it an app? Is it in the games files? How do you find it? How do you you "turn of Bins"?

If you have to ask, then the post doesn't pertain to you. He's talking about a 3rd-party program that some people may have installed.

To add to this, yesterday I found that you don't have to disable bins. You can go into bins settings, help & about, then exclude apps such as cyberpunk. This will allow you to continue using bins and play the game. :) Thanks again.

Hello, for a feedback, when i start the game with GOG, I have this problem.

I fixed this problem with two modifications :
- I turned off 'read only' for the directory :
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red

AND

- I start the game directly by the exe file (Cyberpunk2077.exe) of the game :
Exemple : "C:\Program Files (x86)\\GOG Galaxy\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe"

I hope this solution could help some peoples :-)

Rundagutz: go into bins settings, help & about, then exclude apps such as cyberpunk.
This sounds like a good solution. Perhaps dava4444 could include this part in the opening and make it bold?

Just wanna share what helped my issues, I had random crashes after a few minutes from starting the game with access violation exceptions

When I disabled XMP profile in the bios all my problems stopped.

Before that I had tried to reinstall my GPU drivers, loading the game with admin privileges, re-installing the game into the OS drive and none helped.

I am using:
Edition Windows 10 Pro N
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎10/‎16/‎2020
OS build 19042.985
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0

CPU - i7 7700k
GPU - Asus RTX 2070 Super
Motherboard - Asus Strix Z270E Gaming
OS drive - XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 2TB
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 3000MHz 2x16GB + G.Skill Ripjaws 3000MHz 2x8GB

i just did a clean install of gog galaxy , cyberpunk, i deleted any files left over from the last install, made sure there were no saves amd i dont use bins or anything like it.

game refuses to launch, just instantly crashes with this error
