hi, I don’t quite understand, is it possible to install some old version of the game besides 1.6? 2.3 has disguice performance... I wanted to try running an older version
Unless you have a local download of an earlier version, it's not possible to get something like 2.1 from the GoG site.
It'seither 1.63 or the latest version.

Or, since you already own the game, don't feel bad about getting a older torrent from your favourite download site.
Man, I wish I had kept my copy of version 1.0 of this game. For some reason I deleted it and I don't remember why.

For sentimental reasons, I assume. :)

I first played on 1.03 (which I still have the installer for), and it was a buggy mess.

Honestly, I liked how some of the game mechanics worked, but they ended up making changes I didn't like. Which is also way I'm still playing 1.63 and not 2.0.

Amen to that.
That's why I have 3 installs of the game - I liked the old tech tree (which can get me a 2 Million damage Nekomata), and the Let There Be Flight mod in 1.63 too much to let it go.

2nd install is a regular 2.1 for Phantom Liberty support.

And the 3rd is also 2.1, but with Japanese VO. I had to install the whole game again, just to get the voice files, as the installer doesn't allow selecting multiple voice languages to install.

100% agree.
Same. I also like the old tech tree.

I also had both 1.63 and 2.21 + PH installed, but had to uninstall 2.21 so I could install Robocop Rogue City. Now this was for some nostalgia.

To be honest, i played almost all versions of the game and 2.0 saved the game for me, the balance became much better, by 1.0, 1.5 etc. each weapon caused millions of damage when installing modifications on crits in all clothing slots

in my opinion the game has now become more interesting and my favorite nekomata too :D

here is a recording of my fight with the nekomata at maximum difficulty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuXst6EHwtY&feature=youtu.be

it’s even unfortunate that in my country the dlc never release, i had ideas what could be done with extra levels)

if anyone has a similar problem with performance on amd - installing a new driver and resetting the shader cache helped me
how do you install the 1.63 build that's on the desktop site because i don't see an .exe file to activate it.

The 1.63 build is a single *.ZIP file. It is a compressed file containing 27 bin files and 1 *exe file. Make sure you have enough HDD free space. (107GB)

If you are on WIndows 10+, un-zip function is built in. If you are on an older windows or don't have that option then you will need to install a 3rd party software - winzip, 7zip or winrar are good options.

*edit - I don't think a Mac version is available, pls someone confirm 1.63 is only PC?

Yes, you are right. The v1.63 legacy is PC only. The MAC version was released with v2.3
