Bought the main game 1 day before release, now with it being as it is, I'm sure there will be a GOTY edition at one point. Will people that bought the main game receive GOTY for free or I'll have to buy it again? I'm not gonna play it till everything gets fixed, it might take like 1-2 years for GOTY to come out. So should I refund or just keep the game?

My instinct would be 'No, that would be stupid' but this is CDPR so who knows.

GOTY Editions are just ones with all the DLC, which is going to be free right? Which would mean you already have it. Even if there are paid expansitions why do we deserve them for free just because we bought day 1?

if there is GOTY edition and it's not free for people who preordered the game, than CDPR is going to get antoher wave of criticism im sure.... imo, trust your own feelings, If I were you I would not refund the game, given all the flaws it has now, its still a pretty good game with no other alike (except for its AI)

I feel like the GOTY will be cheaper than the main game right now, and it will include all the DLC that will come. If I'm gonna wait a year or two for the main game to get to the state that it was intended to be on launch, then I might as well refund the game -> wait for GOTY -> Buy a proper game with all DLC at a cheaper price than the main game at lunch. Win across the board for me. My GoG launcher says I played 1 hour, but I was AFK for 45 min. And after seeing all the bugs and broken AI, I don't feel like this game is worth playing or deserving 60$ right now.

Makes sense to me.
There's a chance it might be the same as with the the Witcher 3 game and DLC's. I automatically got the GOTY edition because I owned the main game and both DLC expansions. So I imagine that once you own all the contents of the GOTY edition separately you'll get the GOTY edition for "free".
Hopefully there will be, especially with what I am intrepreting as a very rocky launch (tho I am still a bit let down at the lack of a better upgrade option for my pre-order of W3).

I literally just refunded my CP2077, over-hyped it myself, was hoping for better life paths like with DA:O or more world affecting decisions or smth along those lines ><
Stay safe all!

Am I reading this correctly? You think pre-ordering should entitle you to a free version of a complete edition?
