I recently got the new GeForce NOW RTX 3080 subscription and it works great through the shield pro.
The only issue is HDR does not trigger in the GOG version of cyberpunk. The option is grayed out.
I tried the steam version and HDR worked as expected.

Any ideas why or suggestions?
I've already submitted to Nvidia as a bug.

Make sure you have HDR enabled in windows.

ironhorse384: Make sure you have HDR enabled in windows.
I have the same issue. It's on shield tv, windows has not to do with it. By the way, hdr is not available on GeForce now for pc.
I have the same issue nvidia shield tv pro on LG CX gfn rtx 3080 no HDR available!? It really sucks please fix this asap...
I have the issue too. Running a Shield TV (2019 edition). Bought CP2077 through GOG There are quite a few posts on various forums about this issue. This is what I have discovered:

1) It's only an issue on the GOG version. People are saying if you bought it from Steam the issue isn't there.

2) For some people HDR did trigger for a while but then stopped triggering. I myself got 2 play sessions with working HDR (even played with the PQ vs scRGB setting for HDR in-game)

3) It may be an issue with the GOG launcher. Occasionally, when I jump out of the game, HDR triggers (while in the launcher), but then the Shield interface pulls me out back into the GFN home menu.
You have to have HDR enabled in Windows, and have a HDR enabled monitor / TV with the feature turned on for your monitor or TV as well. HDR10 at least is required too. It's not a feature you can just turn on, you need the right hardware too.
Man… just read the post! It’s NOT about playing it on pc. It’s about the Shield TV. nVidia is marketing this as the only device you can play GeForce Now in 4K 60fps with raytracing and hdr.
I have the same issue with the GOG Version of Cyberpunk2077. I get no HDR Output with the 3080 tier and a Philips OLED. Every other game works fine in HDR. There are several related topics on other forums. Please fix this GOG asap
Same for me on PC, it kind of spoils the next-gen game after so much waiting, buying an HDR screen, waiting for cyberpunk bug fixes and ultimately not having HDR, it's really not cool. It looks much better with the depth of HDR.
Nvidia drivers bug out HDR on some games. A lot of Capcom games have a problem with HDR triggering. RE2R, RE3R, RE7, DMC5, etc. Those games don't need HDR enabled in Windows for them to work, but Cyberpunk does. I have a 3070Ti and I frequently have to reboot windows to get HDR to trigger in the RE remakes. But I've never had a problem with Cyberpunk.

Are you aware that HDR doesn't trigger in Cyberpunk until you load the game in?

Edit: I'm curious if any of you without Shield TVs have tried changing the settings on your pc (in the Nvidia Control Panel) to use 10 bpc? If not, please try that. If the bpc is greyed out, you can change the output color format to one of the YCbCr formats.

You have a low tier chip, what did you expect exactly?

I have a mid-teir chip (ASUS TUF 3090OC).

Remember, on the GPU stack it looks like this -
3090ti
3090
3080ti
3080

Above the 3090ti, you have all the high end chips. Notice i'm using the word "chip" here.

We get the scraps from Nvidia. Workstations get the best chips.

You migh think that because you paid a lot of money for your GPU that it fits into a higher tier than it really does, but this is because in the past, the fanboys couldn't help themselves and continued buying Nvidia cards regardless what trash chips Nvidia put into the cards. Today's prices are sure inflated because of external things, mining, COVID lockdowns etc, but the Nvidia price tax has been stedily increasing from, as far as i remember, the 480 days (Fermi), and probably before then.

It's why i have always told people to buy the highest tier chip in the stack they can afford, instead of being a GPU jockey with the lower end stuff that they have to upgrade mid-way while i'm still happy with the top tier chip.
With the top tier chip of a generation, you can happily skip a generation, or grab yourselves a bargain with the gen after your card has been out a year or two.

You have probably spent more on GPUs than i have over the years.
