I bought this game and over the last two days I've tried everything I could imagine to make this goddamn game even give me so much as a logo screen just to tell me something, anything, but all I get is the immediate "Woah, Cyberpunk has flatlined!" error. From uninstalling the game and reinstalling it five times to the point I'm threatening to hit my data limit this month, trying to disable AVX manually to see, to a clean boot, verifying integrity, everything set to administrator and disabling the firewall, to patching every single driver I can think of... nothing works at fucking all. Period.

Like literally, I basically have less than a paperweight here. The only thing I haven't done is install it on my core SSD, which cannot happen because the drive is so small and it's almost completely filled up with the system files for the computer with only 20GB to spare. Everything is on my HDD and this has never ever been a problem ever with any game I've ever played.

Please, I've looked everywhere and I need an answer from anyone who has encountered and resolved this problem, I'm at my limit with this game.

I meet all of the minimum recommended specs with a Geforce 1060 and at least 16GB of RAM.

I have the same error message and I tried many things too. Moved the game to my OS disk, disabled services and autostart programs, added an exception to MS Defender. Everything is updated, like Windows, Geforce drivers (I have a 970 but it should still meet the minimum hardware).
I have no idea what I could now.

im getting this error on 1.5

Never got it before... This is a new pc. well 6 months old or so and cyberpunk was never installed on it before.

Have everything up to date. Fantastic
Since the game startet after a full re-install incl. deleting the AppData/Local/CD Project Red folder, I´ve copied my UserSettings.json into it to get my key bindings and other settings back. After that it crashes again.

After many trial and error I´ve found a solution for my crashses.

In my case the crash was caused by individual key binding to my Razer Mouse. I´ve used the two thumb buttons as mouse button 4 and 5 in the Razer App and bind the buttons in the game to funktions. This seems to cause the crash with the mentioned message of a failed read attemp.

I´ve restored the 2 default buttons in the game config and set the mouse 4 and 5 button in the Razer App to the corresponding keys of the keyboard.

For now it works! I hope it will help some of you.
